SpeedScriber 2.4.2 released

We’re pleased to announce that SpeedScriber 2.4.2 is now available. This update features important changes to allow compatibility with Final Cut Pro 10.4.9 and later:

  • Roundtripping workflow for compound/multicam/sync clips now uses clip name and event name to link items together. After sending a clip to SpeedScriber, you should not change the clip name or name of parent event, or move the clip to another event.
  • For compound/multicam/sync clips, the original clip and event names are shown in a tooltip when hovering over the file type in the Files list.
  • If a clip/event name match cannot be made when exporting transcripts back to Final Cut Pro X, you will be given the choice to relink verified files with clips in the dropped XML that contain the ‘SS Processing’ keyword.

NOTE: If you imported a compound/multicam/sync clip to SpeedScriber 2.4.1 (or earlier) using Final Cut Pro X 10.4.8 (or earlier), but are now using SpeedScriber 2.4.2 (or later) with Final Cut Pro 10.4.9 (or later), then exporting will not work automatically and you will need to relink the clip and files manually when requested.
